Hanse Loop Tour

An exhilarating cycling holiday on the Hanse Loop tour. Cycle alongside the tide between river Elbe and river Weser with the sky off the north in the distance. Explore picturesque villages and international harbour cities as you cycle through green lowlands, along the coast and through moor lands. Follow the many streams and canals that will lead you through the beautifully formed landscape. In parts the route directs you along the “new” bike path from Hamburg to Bremen.

Welcome briefing and distribution of rental bikes. Take time to discover the historic old city of Bremen, known for its role in maritime trade and accented by hanseatic buildings in the market square.

80 km: You follow the Weser bike path through Lemwerder, Elsfleth, Brake and Nordenham. By ferry you go to Bremerhaven.

65 km: You cycle on a direct route from Bremen to Bremerhaven.

Enjoy the colorful and lively impressions of the landscape on your bike route today. You cycle on asphalted roads through the land of Wursten before you reach Cuxhaven, the well-known harbor city. You will recognize the brightly coloured shelters dotted along the beach.

Today the bicycle tour leads into the “heartland“. Following the small roads you will reach the health resort Bad Bederkesa with thermae. Enjoy the nice Lake and make sure you have a refreshing bath in the beautiful water after your bike tour.

Via Hechthausen and Himmelpforten along the river Oste to 1000-year-old city, Stade. Visit the historic town hall, the old harbor and the churches of St. Cosmae and St. Wilhadi.

Cycle alongside dotted Manors and farm houses you on your way to the city of Jork. You should stroll through the city to visit the half-timbered houses and the town hall. Your overnight stay is in Buxtehude which is famous as tale and museum village.

Enjoy the pleasure of cycling on the new bike path between Hamburg and Bremen where you pass the villages of Hollenstedt and Sittensen before you reach Zeven.

Moor, moraine, forest, heath, dune and pastures: The wide landscape guides you to the romantic village of Worpswede, which is homeland for many painters, sculptors and musicians. You can continue by bike or moor express to Bremen. You depart from Bremen in the late afternoon.
