Join Steven and Karl as they ‘ride AND TALK’ about Cycle Touring

In early June, I messaged Karl Pickles out of the blue to ask him about a potential video collaboration with his channel, ‘Bike Trekking with Karl’. After watching his video about cycling along the Rochdale Canal, which stretches from Manchester city centre to West Yorkshire via Rochdale, and the debate the ride report provoked afterwards, I wanted to find out more about his channel.

His Rochdale Canal video has attracted over 20K views in a short amount of time, and I was impressed by the editing and production quality, as well as Karl’s great on-screen personality. Hopefully, he will be going on a cycle tour with Freewheel Holidays to put those skills into action on a suitable cycling holiday route!

We both live in Rochdale, and it is great to see a new YouTube channel that promotes leisure cycling with an emphasis on sightseeing by bike in the local area around Greater Manchester, Yorkshire and beyond.

You can view the ‘Cycle Touring Q&A’ video with Karl and Steven here. It would also be great if you gave him a ‘Like and Subscribe’ to help grow his channel even further. His new videos are released every Monday.
