Itinerary
UNESCO world cultural heritage sight, Visby, welcomes you with an impressive city wall and many places of interest to visit.
Take the day to explore Visby’s numerous medieval buildings, culinary options and cathedral. In the late afternoon a 90 minute transfer on the public bus will take you to Burgsvik in the South of Gotland.
Your bike adventure will start with a tour to the southern tip of the island to find Hoburgsgubben, one of the most popular rauk, located in the nature reserve Husrygg. Known for ots stunning landscape, mesmerising nature and beautifully stunning views of the sea.
The small coastal roads trail alongside endless pebble beaches up to Djupvik. Cycle past windswept coastal forests and marvel at the beautiful views of the offshore islands.
Start your last bike day with a trip to Tofta beach, known to be the best sandy beach on the West Coast and take a refreshing dip in the sea. Visit the nature reserve Hogklint, with its stunning views of the Baltic sea and Visby – the final stop on your round trip.
Your bike tour will end after breakfast. We are happy to extend your holiday with extra nights in Visby.
Route overview
The flat cycling adventure around the southern tip will take you across bike paths (in Visby) gravel roads, forest tracks, and roadsides with reduced traffic. There will be sections of simpler trail conditions with raw gravel and then some occasional roads with more traffic.
