Discover a hidden side to northern Germany as you cycle this round trip of the region visiting these breweries of the North Sea. You might not associate the north with beer gardens and hops but the North Sea and good beer go hand in hand and there are some very good beers to be had along the way. This is a trip, not to be missed by beer enthusiasts. The famous brewery Jever is in this region as well as the “Ostfriesen Bräu” and the “Tide Bier”. Cycle through the wonderful flat landscape enjoying the fresh air and beer tasting on this fun trip.

Itinerary

You’ll arrive in Oldenburg where you’ll have time to enjoy a walk through this pleasant city where you’ll spend your first night.

Today you’ll set off from Oldenburg and cycle through the beautiful countryside of Ammerland to the Zwischenahner Sea before reaching East Frisia. Your first brewery is the “Ostfriesen Bräu” in Bagband where you’ll enjoy a guided tour through the East Frisian beer culture and have before your overnight stay in Großefehn.

From the “old chief” town Aurich the route leads you to Esens and on to Carolinensiel. You’ll spend the night here or in the close surroundings.

Today’s destination is Jever and the route there leads you along the coast of the North Sea to “Harlesiel”, “Hooksiel” and “Horumersiel. You’ll find your overnight accommodation in Jever.

Your tour continues with a relaxing day spent visiting some of the sights of the area. Before reaching Dangast, where you’ll spend the night, cycle to the castle Gödens. Continue further along to Varel where you can visit the “Vareler Brauhaus”  for a relaxing dinner (with 1 beer included).

Your final stage sees you return to Oldenburg, where you’ll spend your final evening, but before you reach there take your last bike ride from Jaderberg over Rastede.

After breakfast, you’ll make your own way home or you can arrange for additional nights to be added.
