Itinerary

Trier is regarded as the oldest city of Germany. You can fill your time here by exploring 2000 years of history and numerous culinary options. Your bikes are stored at the hotel.

Before starting the bike tour, schedule some time to visit the well-known amphitheater as well as the Porta Nigra before you embark along the Moselle. Your route will take you on an educational trail to report on the domestic grape variety. Finish off your first cycling day with a mouthwatering glass of wine in Trittenheim.

You will cycle to reach Piesport, where you can view the Roman cellars from the 3rd century. Make a further stop in Neumagen-Dhron, Germany´s oldest wine village, or in Bernkastel-Kues with its famous wine “Bernkasteler Doctor“. Only a short cycling distance separates you from Zeltingen.

Today you will cycle through the winegrowing region “Kröver Nacktarsch“ until you reach Traben-Trarbach. You will be accompanied by many vineyards on both sides of the river. Traben-Trarbach offers many architectural masterpieces of art nouveau and Belle Epoque. Your route takes you through the wine region “Zeller Schwarze Katz” and finally ends in Zell.

You will arrive early in Beilstein, widely known as “Rothenburg on the Moselle River”. Take a well earned pit stop in Chochem and visit the charming center as well as the Reichsburg castle from the 11th century. After a short cycle, you will reach Treis-Karden. Here you take the opportunity to do some wine tasting.

After about 5 kilometers you should be sure to make a small detour to the medieval castle “Burg Eltz“, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved castles of Germany. Located in the heart of nature it offers magnificent views. After your detour, return to the Moselle bike path and cycle on to pass numerous charming wine villages, before you reach your final destination, Koblenz. The center is situated at the merge of the Moselle River and the Rhine River and is the perfect spot for an evening stroll

Koblenz presents much to discover! If you are interested in extending your trip, we will happily book some extra nights for you. Equally you can enjoy our comfortable transfer from Koblenz to Luxembourg (possible daily, departure: directly from the hotel, reservation required at time of booking).
